Every measurable parameter carries its own units and, crucially, its own age- and sex-specific reference ranges, because a haemoglobin normal for an adult man is not normal for a newborn. Calculated values like eGFR and Friedewald LDL are handled automatically. This is the discipline PNAC ISO 15189 and CAP accreditation demand, and it is what separates real lab software from a billing screen with test names on it.

Most laboratory errors happen before the sample ever reaches the bench — wrong patient, wrong tube, mislabelled specimen. Results are entered against the correct reference range with automatic high, low and critical flags, so an abnormal value is impossible to overlook. EloHIMS enforces a two-tier release — a technologist technically verifies, then a pathologist medically signs out — so only authorised results reach the clinician. Critical or panic values are flagged the moment they are entered and the release is held until a callback to the doctor is logged, giving your lab a defensible record that the alert was acted on. Every entry, verification, sign-out and amendment is audit-logged with who did what and when.

Professional reports and turnaround you can measure

The report is the product a lab actually sells, and EloHIMS produces a clean A4 report with your letterhead, the patient's demographics, results grouped by section, the reference range that was applied, flags on abnormal values, and the pathologist's sign-out — with an English/Urdu option for patients who need it. Because every step is timestamped from order to report, you can measure turnaround time per test and see breaches before your referring doctors do. Cumulative reports let a clinician track a patient's analyte across dates at a glance.

Built for hospital labs and standalone diagnostic labs

EloHIMS LIMS suits the two shapes of lab that dominate Pakistan. In a hospital lab, orders flow straight from the OPD consultation and inpatient orders, and results appear on the patient's 360° timeline.
